Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
Today on your arrival at Delhi international airport, Welcome Journeys representative shall meet you at the airport and welcome you in our traditional style. Later you will be escorted to your pre-booked hotel. Delhi – the capital city of India where numerous monuments were built over several centuries by different rulers, who ruled the city. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight stay is in Delhi.

Day 02: Delhi sightseeing

Morning after a relaxed breakfast, we embark on a sightseeing tour of Delhi that bridges two different worlds – Old Delhi & New Delhi. Begin your sightseeing tour with the Old Delhi - founded by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, is a labyrinth of narrow lanes lined with crumbling Havelis and formidable mosques. Here we visit Jama Masjid which is one of the last architectural works of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. It is the largest and the best known mosque of India built in the year 1656 AD. Next visit Raj Ghat – a memorial to ‘Father of Nation’ Mahatma Gandhi, where a black marble platform is marking the spot of his cremation, after his assassination. End your Old Delhi sightseeing with a joyful rickshaw ride in the lanes of Chandni Chowk – the oldest market of Delhi which was once the imperial avenue of Mughal royalty.

Later we head for New Delhi - a city of airy boulevards, tree-lined avenues and imposing government buildings created by the British Raj. Here we visit the world's tallest brick minaret, now a UNESCO world heritage site – Qutub Minar. It is the red sandstone tower of 11th century, is the masterpiece of Indo-Muslim art. Thereafter we visit Humayun’s Tomb - set in stunning gardens, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the first masterpiece of Mughal architecture in India built in the year 1562 by his senior widow. Later enjoy a silent drive through the Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate (War Memorial to Indian soldiers), Parliament House and the President’s House. Overnight stay is in Delhi.

Day 03 : Delhi – Jaipur (300 kms / 04 ½ hrs)
Morning after a relishing breakfast, we drive towards Jaipur – a major gateway to the desert state of Rajasthan which is now one of the most important heritage cities in India. The city serves to be the capital city of Rajasthan, Popularly known as ‘Pink City’ as the city was painted in its unique color in the year 1876 to celebrate the visit of the Prince of Wales. On arrival at Jaipur, check-in to your hotel and relax. Evening is free to explore the local colorful markets of Jaipur. Overnight stay is in Jaipur.

Day 04 : Jaipur sightseeing

Morning after a relaxed breakfast, we head for an excursion to the spectacular Amber Fort which is a stunning fusion of Mughal and Hindu styles architecture with its gorgeous Palace of Mirrors. The fort is located high on the hill offering a panoramic views of the city and the lake below. Explore the fort with a ride on the back of painted elephants up to the fort passing through the ancient main gate. Later we drive back to the city and visit beautiful City Palace - former royal residence but now a grand museum with a perfect blend of Rajasthani & Mughal architecture. Thereafter we visit Jantar Mantar - an ancient well-preserved 18th century royal observatory that houses architectural astronomical instruments which are used till date. Lastly we visit Hawa Mahal – a five-storied structure of pink sandstone also famed as ‘Palace of Winds’. It is one of the most recognizable monuments of Jaipur, built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in the year 1799. Overnight stay is in Jaipur.

Day 05 : Jaipur – Agra (Via Fatehpur Sikri) (235 kms / 04 hrs)

Early morning after breakfast, we depart for Agra with its celebrated past, rich heritage and architectural delights. The city is worldwide known for housing one of the Seven Wonders of the World – Taj Mahal. En-route we stop at Fatehpur Sikri which has once served as the capital for Mughal Empire in India under Akbar's reign, from the year 1571 until 1585. The entire city is built with locally quarried red sandstone called Sikri sandstone. Later after sightseeing continue your drive towards Agra. On arrival at Agra, we visit the massive Agra Fort built with red sandstone and marble. It is site that should not be missed when you are in Agra. The fort has been recognized as the UNESCO world heritage site because of its incredible maze of walled courtyards, mosques and lavish private chambers reflecting the grandeur of the Mughal Empire. Later in evening at the time of sunset you will be escort to the monument of immeasurable beauty and love – the majestic Taj Mahal. This white marble mausoleum symbolizes eternal love built by Shah Jahan in the memory of his wife who died giving birth to their 14th child. This is one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world's heritage built of white marble and precious stones over a time period of 22 year. Overnight stay is in Agra.

Day 06 : Agra – Jhansi (By Superfast train Dep. 0815 Hrs  & Arrv. 1045Hrs) Jhansi –
Khajuraho (Via Orchha)

Morning you will be transferred to Agra railway station to board your superfast train for Jhansi. Upon arrival, continue your drive towards Khajuraho, worldwide famous for their erotic carvings, dating back to the Chandela Dynasty. En-route we stop at Orchha – the city known for its 16th century Fort and Temples built by its Bundela rulers. Visit the Orchha Fort and Temples named Ram Raja Temple and Chaturbhuj Temple. Later after sightseeing continue your drive towards Khajuraho. On arrival at Khajuraho, check-in to your hotel and relax. Overnight stay is in Khajuraho.

Day 08 : Khajuraho sightseeing

Morning after a lavish breakfast, we embark on a guided sightseeing tour of Khajuraho visiting the medieval Hindu and Jain temples, celebrated worldwide for their intricate and erotic carvings. Today we will explore the fabulous UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Eastern and Western group of temples of Khajuraho which are marked as an incomparable experience by the foreign tourist. Overnight stay is in Khajuraho.

Day 09 : Khajuraho – Delhi (By Flight) & Depart

Morning after breakfast, on time you will be transferred to Khajuraho airport to board your flight for Delhi. On arrival at Delhi, meet our company representative who shall assist you to the International airport to board your flight back home.
