Golden Triangle with Pushkar

Destination : Delhi – Ajmer – Pushkar – Jaipur – Agra – Delhi

Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
Today on your arrival at Delhi international airport, our representative will welcome you and escort you to your hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight stay is in Delhi.

Day 02 : Delhi sighteeing
Morning after a relishing breakfast we embark on full day guided sightseeing tour of Old Delhi and New Delhi. In Old Delhi we visit Raj Ghat – a place where Mahatma Gandhi, revered as the “Father of Nation” was cremated and Jama Masjid - largest mosque in India, built between 1644 and 1658 during the reign of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Thereafter we enjoy a leisure walk in the oldest and busiest market of Delhi. Later we head for New Delhi sightseeing and visit Qutub Minar – the victory tower of 11th century, commissioned by Qutbuddin Aibak immediately after the defeat of Delhi's last Hindu kingdom, Humayun’s Tomb – one of the most spectacular Mughal-era buildings built by the widow of Humayun. It was the first garden tomb built in the Indian sub-continent where the Persian architect used red sandstone on a large scale. Later we enjoy a drive along ceremonial avenue – Rajpath and drive past the imposing India gate (built in memory of the 70,000 Indian soldier who lost their lives fighting for the British Army during the World War I), Parliament House, President's house, and would end with a drive through the Diplomatic Enclave. Overnight stay is in Delhi.

Day 03 : Delhi – Ajmer (By superfast train Dep. at 0605 hrs and Arr. at 1245 hrs) &
Ajmer – Pushkar (20 kms / ½ hr drive)

Morning on time you will be escorted to Delhi railway station to board your superfast train for Ajmer – considered to be most sacred of all Muslim places of pilgrimage in India. Breakfast will be served on board. Upon arrival at Ajmer, we visit the famous Dargah Sharif of Ajmer, erected by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan.

Later after sightseeing we drive to Pushkar, considered to be one of the most sacred town of the Hindu religion in India. It is one of the oldest living cities of India which is bordered by hills on three sides and sand dunes on the other. On arrival at Pushkar, check-in to your pre-booked hotel. Later after some relaxation, we visit the holy Pushkar Lake - the most sacred lake of the Hindus  where pilgrims throng in large numbers to take a sacred bath. It is due to this sacred water body that the town has turned into a religious hub for Hindus. Later we visit Brahma Temple – situated close to the sacred Pushkar Lake and considered to be the most significant place of worship. The temple is one of very few existing temples dedicated to this deity and remains the most prominent among them. Later after sightseeing drive back to hotel. Overnight stay is in Pushkar.

Day 04 :  Pushkar – Jaipur (150 kms / 03 hrs)
Morning after a relaxed breakfast, check-out from hotel and drive towards the capital city of Rajasthan, famous for its forts and Palaces – Jaipur. The city is also known as “Pink City”, founded by the ruler of Amber, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in the year 1727 A.D. Upon arrival at Jaipur, check-in to your hotel and relax. Evening stroll around the busy streets of the market place, famous for handicraft items. Overnight stay is in Jaipur.

Day 05 Jaipur sightseeing
Morning we head for guided city sightseeing which starts with an excursion to Amber Fort – one of the most important tourist attraction of Jaipur where a visit is a must to complete your visit to Jaipur. The fort is well known for its majestic grandeur of its surroundings and beautiful palaces. Amber Fort was built by Raja Man Singh I and situated on the top of the hill where the best way to explore the fort is to ride up to the fort on the back of painted elephants like a king or queen. Later after sightseeing we drive back to the city and visit City Palace located in the heart of the Pink City. The palace was built between 1729 and 1732, by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II and houses many beautiful palaces and other buildings inside its walls. Thereafter we visit Jantar Mantar Observatory which comprises of geometric devices that are used for measuring time. Lastly we visit Hawa Mahal - also known as “Palace of Winds”. The Palace is considered to be one of the prominent tourist attractions of the city built of red and pink sandstone in the year 1799 A.D. by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. Overnight stay is in Jaipur.

Day 06 : Jaipur – Agra (Via Fatehpur Sikri)
Morning after breakfast we drive to Agra – the city known for housing seventh wonder of the world and other impressive Mughal-era buildings. En-route we visit Fatehpur Sikri – the city which once served as capital of the Mughal Empire for 10 long years. Fatehpur Sikri was developed during the second half of the 16th century by the Emperor Akbar and well-known for housing a series of royal palaces, harem, courts, a mosque, private quarters and other beautiful buildings. Later continue your drive to Agra and visit Agra Fort commissioned by the great Mughal Emperor Akbar in the year 1666 A.D. This massive red fort of Agra is recognized as the UNESCO World Heritage site, situated on the banks of River Yamuna and built of red sandstone and marble. Overnight stay is in Agra.

Day 07 : Agra – Delhi
Today early morning get ready to visit the majestic Taj Mahal at the time of sunrise. This phenomenon is pretty well-known in the world and considered to be one of the best times to visit this one of the Seven Wonders of the World in the gradual increasing sunlight. As its vast marble surfaces fall into shadow or reflect the sun, its colour changes, from soft grey and yellow to pearly cream and dazzling white. Later after sightseeing we drive back to hotel and have your lavish breakfast in hotel. Afternoon check-out from your hotel and drive back to Delhi. Today your rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight stay is in Delhi.

Day 08 : Delhi Depart
Morning on time you will be escorted to Delhi International airport to board your flight back home or onward destination.
