Destination : Delhi – Leh – Spituk – Zinchen – Yurutse – Ganda la – Skiu – Markha – Thochuntse – Nimaling – Kongmaru La – Shang Sumdo – Hemis – Thiksey – Shey – Leh - Delhi

Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
Upon your arrival at Delhi airport, our company representative shall meet you and greet you. Later he will assist you to the hotel with the check-in formalities. Today your full day is free at leisure to explore the city on your own. Overnight stay is in Delhi.

Day 02 : Delhi sightseeing

Today morning after having lavish breakfast in hotel proceed for the full day guided city sightseeing tour of Old Delhi and New Delhi. Start your tour with the Old Delhi sightseeing which includes visit to Raj Ghat which is the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated, Jama Masjid - the largest and best known mosque in India. Thereafter proceed for New Delhi sightseeing which includes visit to Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb which sets a perfect example of Mughal architecture, a drive along Rajpath, India Gate - site of the Indian Armed Force’s Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Parliament House, the President's Residence and would end with a drive through the Diplomatic Enclave. Evening is free at leisure. Overnight stay is in Delhi.

Day 03 : Delhi - Leh (By Flight)
Today morning after breakfast transfer to Delhi airport to board the flight towards Leh, capital of Ladakh is situated towards the eastern parts of Jammu and Kashmir, often known as the “land of broken moon”. It is the most beautiful destination with endless discoveries and lies on the crossroads of the historic 'Silk Route' from Sinkiang to West Asia and to the plains of India. On arrival at Leh airport, our company representative shall meet you and assist you to hotel with the check-in formalities. Today your complete day is free for the acclimatization with a short evening walk at local markets. Overnight stay is in Leh.

Day 04 : Leh – Spituk (drive) – Trek to Zinchen (3200 mts/10496 ft)

Today morning after having breakfast in hotel, head towards Spituk by surface – known for its Spituk Gompa which is situated on a hilltop. Begin your trekking tour from Spituk. Firstly cross the bridge and thereafter cross the Indus River and enter the valley of Zinchen River. After 04 hrs of trekking, near the village in that valley, we will have our first camp for overnight stay.

Day 05 : Zinchen – Yurutse (Via Rumbak) (3900 mts/12792 ft)

Today, we will trek through a narrow valley along the Rumbak Nala. Here one gets fabulous views of the snow capped Stok Mountains. Today while trekking, we will cross 6 river. We then walk the well marked trial until we enter a small valley.  Further proceed for a easy trek to Yurutse where we just camp in the village for our night stay. At Yurutse village you will find fields of barley and potatoes. Overnight stay is at camps in Yurutse.

Day 06 : Yurutse –
Ganda la – Skiu (3100 mts/10168 ft)
Today, we will trek to Shingo where we will cross the river to the right hand side after a short walk of 10 minutes from the camp. A gradual ascends followed by a steep climb gets one to the Ganda la (4985 mts). If the day will be clear, we can get the mind blowing views all around the trial. Later we trek descend to Shingo. From Shingo the trail heads into a narrow gorge leading towards Skiu. At Skiu there is a confluence of the rivers coming from Markha valley and Shingo. Overnight stay is at camps in Skiu.

Day 07 : Skiu – Markha (3800 mts/12464 ft)
Markha is the longest valley in terms of area.  It's a very pleasant hike, up the Markha valley today with the trail crossing numerous streams. After crossing the river, we enter the Markha valley. Markha is a quaint village with a deserted fort and a small village. We will stay at the camps just near the Markha village.

Day 08 : Markha – Thochuntse

Another stage of moderate hiking with pleasant views all around. From Markha the country changes and the warm, relatively heavily wooded sections of the lower Markha is left behind. There are yet again several interesting stream/river crossings. Also highlight of the day would be views of the impressive Kangyatze peak (6400m) when walking towards Hankar. En-route Hankar  is the highest village in the Markha valley. We will also cross few grazing grounds today. Overnight stay is at camps in Thochuntse.

Day 09 : Thochuntse – Nimaling (4700 mts/15416 ft)

Today it’s a short trek on a good path with several small inclines and a series of grassy ridges to reach the campsite at Nimling. Nimaling is a vast open valley with unending grazing grounds and Kangyatze peak in the background. En-route there is a series of Mani walls (walls carved with Buddhist prayers) and chortens. One can do an optional side trip today towards the base camp of Kangyatse. Overnight stay is at camps in Nimaling.


Day 10 : Nimaling – Kongmaru La (5150 mts/16892 ft) – SUMDO

Today we will cross the Markha valley, climbing to the top of the highest of the three passes, then zig zag road leads towards Kongmaru La, with its wonderful views from the top. Follow a steep descent into gorges and then keep walking on the left bank to Chukirmo. The trail descends to the Martselang valley, following the Martselang stream to the village of Sumdo. There is a monastery an hour away from the village. Overnight stay is at Camp in Shang Sumdo.

Day 11 : Shang Sumdo – Hemis (4 hrs Trek)

Today make an easy descent along the Martselang to where it broadens into the valley of the Indus at Martselang village. Thereafter you will board the awaiting jeeps and proceed towards Hemis which is a town in India situated in southeast of Leh in Ladakh and also best known to tourists for the colorful festival and its monastery. Overnight stay is at camps in Hemis.

Day 12 : Hemis – Thiksey – Shey – Leh
Today we will visit the Hemis monastery one of the most famous and largest of all monasteries in Ladakh founded in 17th century belongs to the Drukpa order. Later drive towards Thiksey Gompa, Tibetan Buddhist monastery of the Yellow Hat situated on the top of the hill. There are several temples and wall paintings of Buddha. It is noted for its resemblance to the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet and is the largest gompa in central Ladakh. On the way back to Leh visit Shey Monastery which was constructed by the first king of Ladakh, Lhachen Palgyigon. The Monastery has a 7.5m copper statue of Buddha plated with gold; the largest of its kind. Later In evening drive back to Leh. Overnight stay is in Leh.

Day 13: Leh – Delhi (By Flight)

Today morning after breakfast transfer to Leh airport to board the flight towards Delhi. On arrival at Delhi airport, our company representative shall meet you and assist you to the hotel for check-in formalities. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight stay is at hotel in Delhi.

Day 14 : Delhi Depart

Today morning after breakfast transfer to the Delhi International Airport to board the flight for back home or onward journey.
